We also partner with Savvis (now a CenturyLink company), the US based leading hosting company that offers best-of-breed cloud and on-demand hosting solutions from Singapore, with extended capacity being added in Australia and the region.

The Digital Quay Cloud

Digital Quay has invested heavily in cloud infrastructure to provide our Australian based clients the ability to implement digital content solutions without the hassle of managing servers within their own IT departments or offices.

The increased demand led us to believe that the trend toward outsourced hosting would only continue to grow. So, we decided to provide cloud hosting services not as a core proposition but as a way to help clients enter the world of digital content without having to burden their IT departments and/or drain their budgets.

Data Centre

The below provides some information about our data centre in Sydney.

Overview

The facility has fully redundant (N+1) infrastructure. The incoming power is provided by diverse feeds entering the facility into diverse boards on different levels. All main equipment is N+1 with the ability to increase to an N+2 scenario at any time if required.

Power

Each floor is supplied by 3 x MGE 7000 Galaxy 500kVa UPS’s per floor. These are setup as a rotary bank to offer true redundancy of both the A+B feeds.

Cooling

Each suite is supplied from the main chiller bank on the roof. The chillers are N+1 and air cooled to prevent supply water failure. The chillers also use “Free Cooling” to make the facility more efficient by enabling the outside air temperature to chill the water when outside temperatures permit.

Power Generation

The concrete roof structure supports the main backup power generation units for the building. These units have been initially specified as 2 x 1.2MVa Generators per floor.

Fire Suppression

Each suite is covered by am FM200 and VESDA system to ensure room integrity.
