WAM!NET Content Submission Portal
For organisations with a large number of suppliers, partners or clients from whom they receive digital content, WAM!NET Content Submission Portal service (CSP) provides a simple, efficient means to receive digital content from a broad range of users.
CSP can be configured in two ways:
- using a customised web user interface (Portal Page), or
- using Submission Icons
Web Interface
The portal page provides one or more submission options for uploading digital content. All tracking and notification features of the WAM!NET Transport services are available to users of the CSP.
One or more submission options may be configured for each portal. As an example, one option may be configured to send content to a prepress facility, another to a regional printing plant or group of printing plants. A user submitting digital content selects the desired option and is led through the simple submission process as prescribed by the submission option settings.
An organisation subscribing to the CSP defines how each submission option on the portal page will behave. Savvis Content Exchange creates and maintains the submission options as part of the CSP.
HTML code is provided back to the customer so links can be embedded into the customer’s public web site.

Submission Icons
Submission Icons provide a simple drag and drop interface for uploading files from a user’s desktop over the Internet to a pre-configured CSP Resource where they are then transported as a package of files to a predefined WAM!NET destination, such as a Direct!IP server at your premises.
Ideal for the printing, publishing and creative arts industries, WAM!NET Transport subscribers can provide their clients an easy drag and drop method to send files.
The most exciting feature of this service is the Icon, which can be a custom graphic or logo installed on clients desktops. This is fantastic for print or creative agencies that want their clients to have a constant desktop reminder of their brand.
The process for the client user:
- The recipient gets an email and clicks a link to download the installer
- They choose to run the installer and agree to the licence
- The submission icon software is downloaded and the branded icon appears on their desktop
- Installation is completed
Users may then drag & drop files on the icon to send them:
- The user drops files on the icon
- The package is sent and a progress bar is displayed
- The package upload is completed
